“I have been trying to catch up on some of the Best Picture Nominees for 2013. I just saw Django Unchained. I thought it was better than Beasts of the Southern Wild or Lincoln. Not as good as Zero Dark Thirty or Argo (or Moonrise Kingdom for that matter). Months ago when I was on date night I chose to see Silver Linings Playbook over Django. I now see that I definitely made the right choice. While this movie was exciting, I wanted it to get “Tarantino-ee”… like Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, but it did not. I would compare Django to True Romance with compliments to Mr. Scott for casting a better female lead. I still have not seen Amour or Les Miserables. What if they are as miserable as they sound????”
